The Cinemasters countdown

the big one

I think most normal people don't get the type of anxiety I do when someone asks me what my favorite movie is. And I know if you're reading this you're nodding your head along with me, ""Yes Ron. We understand it's an insane question to ask a person who loves movies as much as WE do." I mean to put somebody on the spot like that, it's RIDICULOUS. My point is, if you see a guy walking your way wearing a t-shirt that reads "There is only one "Return" and it's not of the King" the polite thing to do would be to ask them, "Isn't Return of the Jedi amazing?" and they will embrace you like a brother. Here's a list of the top 10 movies I'm comfortable disclosing...on this day.

Ghostbusters

1984

Few movies capture the imagination quit like the 1984 sci-fi/comedy MASTER-piece. I'm talking about the one...the ONLY, Ghostbusters. The greatest endorsement for this movie I can actually think of, is I own about $1,000 worth of screen-quality grade props from the movie *cough toys cough* (OK technically they were like crowdfunded toys from Hasbro...real premium quality stuff) that 364 days a year sits in my office, but on October 31st I BECOME a Ghostbuster. The skill and imagination that went into making this movie still to this day astonishes me. Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd just banged out this script in a few days, coming up with concepts like ghost storing containment units and the technical mumbo jumbo that just effortlessly flies out of Ray's mouth throughout the movie is what makes it so special. The attention to detail for props. Attention to detail for science. The attention to detail to terror dogs. It's all right there. Human sacrifice, dogs and casts living together, MASS HYSTERIA!
